“ Best dinner spot for our entire trip! Everything from the cocktails to dinner dishes, it was great! Super cute outdoor patio area with sun shade if needed. Must try their manhattan as it's probably the best we've had. It's made a little different since it's on a large rock, but the whiskey and how it's made is perfection! The steak and fish were both on point and we finished every bit of it! Must try the Korean chicken wings as well. It comes with a side of fries so great to have as a light snack or something to share. Will certainly come back and will have to find their other locations. ”
“ Came here on Saturday night with our friends who live in Honolulu. It's located in the International Marketplace in Waikiki and I was not sure about going to a "mall" restaurant. However, this place was wonderful!! We had a great table in the patio area and the service was excellent. Apologies that I cannot remember our servers name but he did an awesome job. Husband and I split the smoked salmon Caesar salad. One of the best salads I have had. Our friends shared the crab cakes and loved them. For the main dish, I had the black cod. OMG, it was butter! So delicious. Everyone else had the duck and loved it. I had a taste of it and it was amazing. Hubby and I shared a chocolate gelato for dessert which was good. They also have a very nice mock tail selection as well as wines and cocktails. Something for everyone. Parking is partially validated - they give a 20.0 credit. Highly recommend Herringbone and I know we will be back when we return to HNL in the future. ”
“ A friend of mine told me about this place so of course I had to check it out. The atmosphere is very nice and the restaurant has plenty of space. I ordered the crab cake for an appetizer and it looked as good as it tasted, delicious. The flavor and seasoning was great and the sauce complimented the wonderful taste. For my entree I ordered the breaded chicken dish with mashed potatoes. The chicken was cooked prefect with the right flavor and the mash potatoes was buttery and light. The service was very cordial and prompt. ”
“ Truly a hidden gem! We were headed to another nearby bar for football on a Saturday afternoon, and were turned away. We wandered by Herringbone and saw their HH sign outside. We took a seat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the lovely staff. Even at the end of HH, they were more than happy to accommodate not only us, but everyone at the bar for another round even when it was past 4, to ensure that everyone was taken care of. The drinks were outstanding, and the food was so fresh! We ordered three plates from the HH menu, and they were small, but perfect for snacking and sharing. If we hadn't had to fly home that night, we definitely would have stayed, and surely would have gone back for dinner if we could, or had known about them sooner! ”
“ What a great happy hour experience ! The service was nice and efficient, and the food really good and tasty. The happy hour menu is small but we wanted to try everything on the menu. The drinks were good, I tried their peach daiquiri The fish served was so fresh and well prepared, the meat was thinly cute and melting in mouth Their regular menu looks amazing, I will need to try it next time ! ”
“ We ended up coming here the night of our elopement with a group of friends. Staff was amazing and very attentive. Food was delicious, but spendy. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor. They even gave my husband and I a complimentary dessert as a congratulatory dessert from them. So nice and thoughtful! ”
“ We enjoyed our visit to Herringbone Waikiki. When we arrive we were asked if we were there for dinner or happy hour. Since we didn't really understand what the difference might be, we said dinner. We soon learned that the difference was that happy hour afforded discount pricing on some drinks and a bunch of small plates at lower prices. So we mostly went for that. My wife had the regular fish taco, and I had the Ahi tuna taco. Both were very good. The octopus plate, of which I've provided a picture, was excellent. The only let down was the lobster twice-baked potato, which I ordered from the dinner menu. I know that lobster is expensive, but for $18 I expected the entire potato to have been scooped out and twice baked. At most half of this one had been, which left me eating regular old potato with no butter or anything else on it for the second half of the dish. Even if it would be too expensive to provide enough lobster filling for the whole potato, at least scoop the whole potato and season and prepare it, rather than leaving the diner with undressed potato. I also had the house Manhattan off the happy hour menu, which was very nice. Our server, whose name I did not catch but who can be seen in the decor photo, was excellent. Really friendly and helpful. The decor was very attractive, but I should mention that my dining partner thought the floor could use a mopping. All in all it was a good experience, and I recommend giving them a try. ”
“ I had such a wonderful time at Herringbone! The restaurant itself was gorgeous and employees were super friendly and welcoming! The atmosphere was delightful for dinner on a hot humid day like this one when we went into to visit. Aoki Manhattan: 9/10 Berry Good Time: 10/10 Houston's Wagyu: 7/10 Grilled Gochuchang Octopus: 9/10 Baja Tacos: 9/10 The best dish was the octopus mostly due to its unique balance of flavors and unique taste. It was super special and tasty! The wagyu steak was less impressive as it was just strips of steak, but still very tasty. I would recommend checking out Herringbone for a nice dinner! ”
